I have been a veterinarian at Mountain Vista Animal Hospital since 1991. I am a transplant from Nebraska (still a Cornhusker at heart) and I completed my veterinary training at Kansas State University in 1991. I have a passion for ultrasound which has become my strongest area of interest. I also have a strong interest in internal medicine and cardiology. I love to see new puppies and kittens with their new owners to counsel them on how to keep their new addition happy, healthy and well behaved.
I am married to my wonderful husband, Geoff Jenkins, who is a graphic designer. We share our home with our furry children who consist of 2 senior citizen toy poodles and 1 crazy cat. All of my pets were rescues. My first poodle, Olive, came into my life with a fractured leg and no one to care for her. By the way, Olive runs the whole show. My second poodle, Haley Sue, I rescued as a senior after her elderly owner passed away. My cat, Bopelini (named after Nebraska’s head football coach), always has us on our toes and entertained. Besides practicing veterinary medicine and ultrasound, I love spending time with my husband and furry friends, playing volleyball, watching football (GO BIG RED!), reading, watching movies and studying the bible.
